AQUATIC THERAPY
Aquatic therapy is a physical therapy that is performed in water.
Aquatic therapy is done by a trained aqua therapist assistant under the guidance and direction of your treating physiotherapist.
The buoyancy and resistance of the water relieve stress from your joints while still strengthening your muscles. Stretching in the water also allows for a deeper stretch, relieving tension in stiff areas.
Aquatic therapy is efficient in increasing strength, flexibility, and ease of movement while reducing pain.
AQUATIC THERAPY CAN HELP WITH:
ARTHRITIS
SPORT INJURIES
POST-SURGICAL CONDITIONS
FRACTURE HEALING
