Responsibilities and Duties

  • Release tension and alleviate pain through soft tissue massage

  • Provide clients with a therapeutic and relaxing experience

  • Write patient case notes and reports through documentation

  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention

  • Keep up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients

  • Be legally responsible and accountable

  • Be caring, compassionate, and professional at all times

  • Discuss with other treating team members in regards to clients' progress and any notable concerns

  • Provide a safe environment for clients within the clinic

Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of Chinese is an asset

  • Current registration with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario

  • Experience working with individuals with a variety of needs and diagnoses.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Part-time Physiotherapist

Physiotherapist

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Diagnosis, assess and treat client's physical problem/condition

  • Develop and review treatment programs that encourage exercise and movement by the use of a range of techniques

  • Educate clients about how to prevent and/or improve conditions by demonstrating, explaining, and assisting clients in completing exercise programs at the clinic

  • Write patient case notes and reports through documentation

  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention

  • Keep up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients

  • Supervise co-op students and physiotherapy assistants

  • Be legally responsible and accountable

  • Be caring, compassionate, and professional at all times

  • Discuss with the treating physiotherapist in regards to clients' progress and any notable concerns

  • Provide a safe environment for clients within the clinic

Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of Chinese is an asset

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy

  • Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario

  • Experience working with individuals with a variety of needs and diagnoses

  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Physiotherapy Assistant

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Demonstrating, explaining, and assisting clients in completing exercise programs at the clinic

  • Documenting care services provided to clients

  • Discussing with the treating physiotherapist in regards to clients' progress and any notable concerns

  • Provide a safe environment for clients within the clinic

  • Maintain and monitor supply inventory

  • Assist staff in maintaining a clean environment within the clinic

Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of Chinese is an asset

  • Physiotherapy Assistant certification or equivalent from a recognized college

  • Experience working with individuals with a variety of needs and diagnoses

  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
