A thorough assessment is required on the initial visit with the physiotherapist to allow for an in-depth understanding of the clients’ history. Our registered physiotherapists combine manual therapy with modalities to relieve pain and promote the recovery of our clients.

Chiropractic Therapy

A thorough assessment is required on the initial visit with the chiropractor to allow for an in-depth understanding of the clients’ history. Our registered chiropractors are experienced in manipulations and adjustments to release tension and stiffness in the neck and back.

Registered Massage Therapy (RMT)

A thorough assessment is required on the initial visit with the registered massage therapist to allow for an in-depth understanding of the clients’ history. Our registered massage therapists use hands-on soft tissue and joint manipulation to optimize health and recovery of patients.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine where needles are strategically inserted to reduce pain and stimulate muscles. Our acupuncturists use a combination of Tui Na, a form of manipulative therapy similar to massage and acupuncture to promote recovery.

Vestibular Rehab Therapy (VRT)

VRT is a manual-based-therapy used to help improve symptoms related to vestibular disorders which may include vertigo, dizziness, visual disturbance and such

Active/Exercise Therapy

Active therapy is done by a trained physiotherapy assistant under the guidance and direction of your treating physiotherapist or chiropractor. During active therapy sessions, clients are taught how to perform activities in safe manner at home to prevent further injuries. Exercises are chosen specifically for each client to strengthen and promote recovery.

Aquatic Therapy

Aqua therapy is done by a trained aqua therapist assistant under the guidance and direction of your treating physiotherapist. The buoyancy and resistance of the water relieves stress from your joints while still strengthening your muscles. Stretching in the water also allows for a deeper stretch, relieving tension in stiff areas.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is used to help improve chronic musculoskeletal conditions.  It can be used for myofascial trigger points, tendinopathies, activation of muscles and connective tissues, and break down of scar tissues.

Ultrasound

Therapeutic Ultrasound is used to promote circulation, which will in turn help reduce inflammation and improve healing. It may also be used to create a thermal effect to aid in scar breakdown.

Paraffin Wax

Paraffin Wax is used as a source of therapeutic heat for extremities. It is mainly used for hands and can be especially beneficial in arthritic populations.

IFC / TENS

Electrotherapies such as Interferential Current (IFC) or Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) use electric current to stimulate nerve fibres, which will then help decrease and control pain.

Therapeutic laser is used to promote cell growth and reproduction which helps improve tissue healing.

Mechanical Traction

Mechanical traction is used to provide a consistent and controlled pull along your body. This can help open up joint spaces between your vertebrae, and help loosen up stiff muscles along that area.

Registered Massage Therapist

RMTs are expected to work with to provide clients with manual therapy and education, as well as communicate with other members of the clinic to assist in the client’s recovery.

Onsite part-time registered massage therapists with flexible hours. Shifts may include some evenings and weekends.

Aqua Therapy Assistant

Aqua therapy assistants work under the supervision of a registered physiotherapist to teach and aid clients in rehabilitation exercises and stretches in community therapy pools.

Part-time aqua therapy assistant to work in community. Flexible hours and dependent on client schedules. Shifts may include some evenings and weekends.

PTAs are expected to assist our therapists in educating our clients and supervising exercise programs as outlined by the treating physiotherapists.
