2. Active recovery
Sore muscles need proper recovery, but it does not mean we should completely stop exercising. Instead, we should keep the muscles in motion to provide some relief and keep the blood flowing. Active recovery refers to performing low-intensity exercise following an intense workout. Examples are walking, cycling, and swimming.
